Label Manufacturers Association (ESD) was founded in Istanbul in 1998 by 9 founders. Today, there are 120 members operating in the self-adhesive industry, and among the members are self-adhesive label manufacturers, suppliers and label machine manufacturers.
ESD performs 2 national competitions every year: 1) label printing competition between members, 2) Label design competition between related universities and high schools. The results are announced at the end-of-year ball.
ESD publishes a quarterly magazine and organizes various conferences.
FINAT relations (International Labelling Association)
ESD has very close relations with FINAT.
ESD chairman Aydin Okay is also a member of the board and membership committee at FINAT. ESD board member Mehmet Şengör FINAT technical committee member and ESD board member Zeki Murat Sipahioğlu is a member of finat label printing competition jury for this and next year. Amir Sayer from Turkey is also a member of the marketing committee.
