On February 9, 2022, İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association (IKMIB) Chairman of Board Mr. Adil Pelister and Board Members visited our Association.
İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association (IKMIB) Chairman Mr. Adil Pelister, Board Member Mr. Tayfun Demir, IKMIB General Administrative Board Member and Plastic Manufacturers Association (PAGDER)’s Chairman Mr. Selçuk Gülsün, IKMIB General Administrative Board Member Mr. Cihan Tanık, Directors of President Office Mr. Güner Gülyeşil, Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA) Chairman Mr. Hakan Özhuy, Vice Chairman Mr. Mustafa Kınacı, Board Members Mrs. Gülşen Turan Kök and Mr. Hakan Dirgeme and Secretary General Gülçin Kazak focused collaborations between IKMIB and SEPA on agenda.
Both past and future collaborations, necessary projects to achieve the export targets, energy problems examined. Mr. Adil Pelister, chairman of the Board of Directors of IKMIB, emphasized the importance of producing our own energy as soon as possible, and stated that opening the way for investment licenses will accelerate the investments of our companies and we have to increase predictability in order to reduce the unease in investments. Besides the Chemical Technology Center project and the other projects on the agenda, sustainable production and carbon taxes were another important topics at the meeting.
Mr. Adil Pelister and our visitors stated that a difference can be made with together by creating more projects, both in quality and quantity. Also they conveyed the positive attitude of IKMIB.
Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA)’s Chairman of Board Mr. Hakan Özhuy underlined the need to improve the logistics and customs processes related to ship lines, especially in the African Region, for the future period and emphasized the importance of freight supports for our sector.
Mr. Hakan Özhuy expressed to our thanks to Mr. Adil Pelister, Chairman of the İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association (IKMIB) and his team, who continued his constructive approach to our sector in the past and did not spare his support.
Our Members of Board underlined that we will continue to make a positive contribution towards increasing exports in the future as Rigid Plastic Packaging Industrialists Association (SEPA) who accounts 32% of chemical sector.
