The Workshop on “the Research on the Future of Plastic Packaging Sector”

The Workshop on “the Research on the Future of Plastic Packaging Sector” organized by İKMİB (Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association) and attended also by the members of the Board of SEPA was held on January 5-6, 2018 in Istanbul.

With the support of ASD (Packaging Manufacturers Association), a two-day workshop on “the Research on the Future of Plastic Packaging Sector” was held by İKMİB (Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association) on January 5-6, 2018, Friday and Saturday last week in Istanbul.

In plastic packaging sector, the Workshop which was organized in order to define a roadmap in line with the objectives of providing our country with more added value, reducing the dependency on imports and increasing the sustainable global competitive power in exports and to offer solutions to the problems encountered by the sector was attended by the members of the Board of Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA), ASD and Flexible Packaging Manufacturers Association (FASD) and the leading plastic packaging exporters as well as high level officials of the related public organizations.

In the Workshop, the concrete examples of the problems encountered in imports and exports were discussed as the main topic of agenda and the solutions to the exporters’ problems were offered.
